"Following and to be followed (Part III)"

Following and to be followed : Dan Coombs (et Steven Parrino, Rob Pruitt, François Curlet…) 

Following and to be followed emprunte son intitulé à l’œuvre réalisée par Daniel Buren dans le cadre d’une présentation dans l’atelier de Peter Nadin à New York (en 1978) où, suivant le principe du « cadavre exquis », l’œuvre d’un artiste s’ajoutait aux précédentes.

Un premier cycle de Following and to be followed s’est tenu du 26 mars au 12 juin 1999, au Consortium. Sont intervenus successivement : Steven Parrino, Stéphane Dafflon, Simone Westerwinter puis Kendell Geers Le second cycle a débuté le 14 mai 2003. L’œuvre de Steven Parrino est réinstallée au premier étage. S’y sont progressivement ajoutées celles de Rob Pruitt, François Curlet, Matthew McCaslin et de John ArmIeder, ainsi qu’un concert de Vincent Segal et Seb Martel.

Le 19 mars, une œuvre inédite de Dan Coombs complétera cet ensemble.
